“We can create meaningful and lasting change”

Caitlin’s path to becoming a therapist was deeply influenced by her own experiences with stress as a teenager and the feeling of limited support during that time. As she grew older and her support system strengthened, she recognized that not everyone has access to the same resources. This realization ignited a desire within her to be the support she needed at various points in her own life and to empower others to recognize their own strength and resilience. This led Cailtin to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Her areas of specialization and interest include trauma, stress, and addictions.

Caitlin’s approach to helping clients heal centers around building a strong, healthy rapport and fostering the realization that they are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. She firmly believes in the power of self-esteem and the profound impact of our thoughts on our lives. By focusing on these two key areas, we can create meaningful and lasting change. Caitlin contributes to her clients' healing journeys by offering a listening ear, being fully present, and treating them with the same respect and compassion she would want for myself.

What Caitlin finds most rewarding about her role is witnessing the meaningful change and progress in people who possess so much potential. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to see them flourish. In a trauma-informed environment, she particularly values the emphasis on education about trauma. She finds great satisfaction in teaching clients about the effects of trauma and empowering them to reclaim control of their lives.

On a personal note, Cailtin is married to a farmer and lives on a farm in western Kentucky with her three beautiful, free-ranging children, ages 13, 5, and almost 2. She is also a stepmother and has been co-parenting her stepdaughter for about ten years. Having grown up in both Arkansas and Virginia Beach, she now enjoys farm life, sunflowers, the rare opportunity to sleep in, traveling to visit family, and playing outside with her kids.
