Her practice focuses on a variety of areas, including personality disorders, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, trauma, ADHD management techniques, and disorders of over-control. Kelso is well-versed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), which she use to guide clients toward greater emotional resilience and balance.
Through her own life experiences and witnessing the transformative power of psychotherapy, Kelso is committed to fostering self-improvement in others. She adopts a person-centered approach, always keeping a trauma-informed lens and incorporating compassionate psychoeducation. Her method blends internal and external motivation techniques to enhance self-esteem and self-efficacy, while acknowledging the impact of social determinants of health.
