Therapist

Tracy is a complex trauma specialist, upholding that the existence of one’s nervous system implies the existence of a confident and loving system. Tracy believes that you have a true self that never was and never will be damaged by the anguish and grief that you’ve been through. Tracy offers a wide array of trauma-informed skills that will assist you with trusting yourself, feeling confident around others, enhancing relationship quality, and illuminating your power as you befriend yourself again.

Tracy’s approach is grounded in being trauma and nervous system informed and abolishing toxic systems. The pace and methods of how you choose to heal is up to you, and Tracy will meet you there with methods that aim to discover and enhance your cognitive values, regulate emotion, and tolerate distress. These methods include, but are not limited to, Internal Family Systems (aka “parts work”) and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Tracy also utilizes elements of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and somatic experiencing.

As a trans-female, Tracy has extensive experience with the LGBTQ community, but is willing to work with any adults that have endured a childhood or were part of a culture. Others describe their collaboration with Tracy as gentle, honest, relational, genuine, and validating.

Tracy was born and raised in Kentucky but provides Telehealth services from her home in Chicago.
